How do you make them?

Well, to make it simple. I buy fleece, and cut it into strips with a rotary cutter. I then use a crochet needle and crochet the fleece just like I would yarn.

Are they machine washable?

Some designs hold up to machine washing better than others. The ones with longer spiral arms and legs get wrapped around other items and become stretched out. If you do machine wash them - put them in a lingerie bag to keep that from happening.

Will you share the patterns for these animals?

I've never tried my hand at pattern writing before, but I might do that in the future. If you crochet and want the pattern you can email me and I'll try my best to give you a rough pattern.

What are they made of?

They are 100% fleece. There is absolutely nothing else in them. The pom poms on them are thin strips of fleece as well and are hand made with a pom pom maker.

Can any of the items be customized?

Absolutely! The pictured pouches are items I use in my own cages, for the most part. When you place an order I will then make your pouch. If you want a different color, or something changed, please let me know! I may charge extra, though, if you want.. say... a 12 legged frog. Those 10 extra legs take a lot of extra time!

What if I want an animal that I don't see listed?

Email me! It may be that I just never thought about it! It will probably take me a little longer, because I will have to think on it and come up with a pattern, but I can probably come up with SOME way of making it!

How long will it take to receive my order?

It usually takes me about a day to make each pouch. Crocheting is time consuming. Your pouch should ship within a week. That will be sooner if possible. I am also a college student, so if it's finals week or I have a huge paper due it might take a little longer. Feel free to email me before you place your order and ask!

Will the item I receive be identical to the ones pictured?

They will be VERY close. The more of them I make the more I tweak them, however. The first few pouches I made fell apart the first time I washed them! I was cutting the strips of fleece too thin. I threw them away and went back to the drawing board and tried again, with thicker strips of fleece. I've since realized that the thicker the fleece the 'plushier' the finished product, so I've changed the KIND of fleece I use as well. So, the small differences are for the better!

What sort of environment are they made in?

This is a non-smoking household with dogs. The dogs are kept away from the fleece, and crocheting, as much as possible. I do pre-wash the pouches before I mail them, but if you have severe allergies to dogs you might want to rewash them when they arrive at your house.

Are they pre-washed?

Yes! Cutting the fleece in strips as thin as I do makes it very fuzzy. I usually run them through the washer a few times to get all of that lint off. I worry about gliders inhaling it. I use no detergent, because I know some people are particular about what sort of detergent they use for their sugar glider items.

Are they safe?

I have watched my own gliders in them for the past few months - first in supervised play, and then the past few months inside the cage. Other glider owners have looked them over and haven't found any safety issues with them.

What if I'm not satisfied?

As long as the pouch is unused you will receive a 100% refund, PLUS shipping to return any items that you are not satisifed with, OR a replacement item. The choice is yours.
